The Android community is awash with news about Android 4.4 and Google Nexus 5, from purported leaked photos to endless rumors about the device but the eventual release date remained a mystery to this date. Well not until now.
Word on the street is that the new phone and next Android update explode onto the scene together on 15 October
CNet reports that both are scheduled to be unveiled this month itself, more specifically next Tuesday if their source is to be believed. This date according to them originates from Google itself who allegedly offered developers a sneak peek of their upcoming Android version as well as KitKats.
The Nexus 5 which will be built by LG – is expected to sport a 4.95-inch 1080p display, along with integrated wireless charging. Underneath you’ll find a 2.GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM. The handset is said to come in 16/32GB variants but we can’t rule out the possibility of a 64GB version although that’s a slim change.
With current Nexus 4 dwindling one can only speculate that Google is indeed prepping its successor which might just be around the corner!
Here are some purported shots of Android 4.4 leaked by Tutto Android, we’ll highly recommend that you take those with a grain of salt.
