Upgraded Asus Padfone Infinity unveiled with Snapdragon 800 CPU, PixelMaster Camera and more

Asus PadFone Infinity

Asus a Taiwanese multinational computer hardware and electronics company has unveiled yet another tablet / smartphone combo a.k.a Asus PadFone Infinity if you can call it so with a speedy  2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU and there’s a new microSD card storage expansion slot as well, that is a plus in comparison to its predecessor.

The new Asus PadFone Infinity smartphone features a 5-inch 1920 x 1080p Full HD Super IPS display running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean rather than the original Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It is however powered by a 2,400mAh battery just as before and this is a low score having in mind that newer features like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU will definitely have a negative effect on the overall battery life. An introduction of the microSD slot has however led to the overall reduction of the internal storage space from 32/64GB to 16/32GB variants this fall. The overall storage space that comes with the Asus PadFone Infinity has dropped from the previous Maximum value of 64GB to 16GB and 32GB that can be expanded to a size that suits you as a user making the new model more dynamic and user centered.

The gadget also comes with a 13MP F/2.0 which may not mean much until you unveil the technology behind it. The new technology marvel has gained the PixelMaster feature that combines multiple pictures to create a smaller but shaper 3-megapixel image. This operates in a similar way to the oversampling technology featured in the 41-megapixel snapper of the Nokia Lumia 1020. This clearly states that the Nokia Lumia 1020 is without a doubt revolutionizing the capture aspect on portable devices worldwide having in mind the Samsung S4 Galaxy zoom

The only miss that is a big blow to the Asus Padfone Infinity is the Garmin navigation software that was a success with the previous version but this can be solved by downloading the Garmin Navigator app from Google Play. The new 16GB PadFone Infinity will cost around $640 in Taiwan and $710 for the 32GB version. Well, the international markets’ pricing is yet unknown as well as if the hibrid will be available for the international market. It will be available in Titanium Black and Platinum white.
