The first time we heard anything about a mini variant of the Sony Xperia Z1, was back in August, when an ad (teaser) showing the alleged new Sony Xperia Z1 mini has been leaked on the Internet. The ad has been followed, five days later by a first picture with the actual smartphone sitting beside a Blackberry Q10.
The Sony Xperia Z1 mini front panel press image leaked this morning, revealing and confirming the sensors and front-facing Camera placement on the top left side of the handset, which matches exactly with the previously leaked picture.
According to rumours, Xperia Z1 mini will feature a 4.3 inch 720p HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (which chipset is unknown at this time – probably Snapdragon 400 or Snapdragon 600), 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage (microSD card slot included) and a 2,400 mAh battery.
We have no idea when this device will be outed by Sony, but we will get back to you with more, the moment we have new details.
