Alcatel has confirmed that it will showcase its new smartphone dubbed the Alcatel One Touch idol Alpha at the IFA in Berlin as it opens to public on the 6th of September 2013 according to an official press release. The 4.7 inch Smartphone described as “unique and sleek ” will use what Alcatel One Touch refers to as “exciting curves” to take on to a new direction that hasn’t been seen in the Smartphone market. The sleek design is one that brings out the standards that will be both of interest to those of us that are in the corporate world and those that prefer the casual look when it comes to gadgets.

Alcatel one touch isn’t just talking the talk but also walking the walk as interesting features are added onto the uniqueness to the edges of this new Smartphone. First, the edges of the Alcatel Idol Alpha illuminate in relation to different modes for instance charging, video and notifications. Secondly, the chassis to the Alcatel Idol Alpha is made of an aluminium metal frame with a 7.5 mm thin body giving it what Alcatel describes as “distinctive finish”.

This is a new addition to the Alcatel One Touch Idol S and the Alcatel One Touch Idol Mini that were officially announced a couple of days ago as earlier reported . Alcatel seems to have chosen the slim deviation to reduce the overall footprint in its customers’ pockets and also maintain its sleek and stylish look. The Alcatel Idol Alpha looks good on paper with its 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU and its HD IPS screen but more is yet to be revealed as the IFA Berlin 2013 comes alive.
