HTC has made one more announcement prior to the start of IFA 2013, namely two new members entered the Desire family. It’s the Desire 601 and Desire 300 duo of budget smartphones.
The Desire 601 is no stranger to us, as we have encountered it in a leak two weeks ago. It’s got a dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1,4GHz, 1GB RAM, 4,5-inch qHD display, 5MP – VGA camera combo, 8GB storage and a microSD card slot. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean enriched with HTC Sense 5. It has a 2100mAh battery to keep it powered on.
The Desire 300 on the other hand, is a weaker performer, packing a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 512MB RAM, 4,3-inch WVGA display, 5MP back camera, WVGA front-facing shooter, 4GB storage and a microSD slot. It also runs on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean skinned with Sense 5. The battery of this one is rated at 1650mAh, which is a bit low by today’s standards.
Both of these smartphones will be available in October for affordable prices.
