Acer didn’t waste any time this week! As the IFA 2013 debut approaches rapidly, Acer thought it is time to unveil the latest innovation Acer Liquid S2, which includes 4K capability. It is a world’s premiere, the first device with such tech underneath, but this wont be long as reports say Samsung will also launch the Galaxy Note III with the same feature, and we might discover such capability on other devices as well, during IFA 2013.
Acer Liquid S2 comes loaded with new hardware and features. For one, the 6 inch IPS Full HD (368 ppi) screen is a first for Acer, the display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3, Liquid S2 also feature Qualcomm’s most recent quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM, 13MP rear-facing camera capable of recording video in 4K format, 2MP in front of the device capable of 1080p video,a 3,300 mAh battery and Android 4.2.2 with Acer Float UI on top of it.
The Liquid S2 measures 166 x 86 x 8.99 mm, comes with Dolby Digital Plus sound system, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC and support for GSM / WCDMA frequencies.
Acer will exhibit this device at IFA 2013 the next week or so, while in terms of pricing and availability we can only tell you that it will hit sale by the end of October.
