Alcatel is back with two new additions to its Smartphone line-up. Alcatel One Touch Idol S and Alcatel One Touch Idol Mini that without a doubt will be showcased at the IFA in Berlin a few days from now, if the launch date strategy is anything to go by. The slim nature of the two smartphones is something that immediately catches your eye, as the compact design is supposed to minimize the overall footprint in your pocket. The slim profile is expected to be part of the marketing strategy of the firm by focusing on one side of the gender as is seconded by the color ranges that comes with the two new designs.
Right into the specs starting with the Alcatel One Touch Idol S, the smartphone is the slimmest of the two, measuring just 7.4mm, with a 4.7-inch IPS display, a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. One Touch Idol S comes with a 1.3 megapixel front camera, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps., WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 1.2GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The storage bags GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot. The storage is however doubled with the dual-sim version of the Alcatel One Touch Idol S with a total of 8GB internal available for use. It comes in a range of colors – Slate, Fresh Rose and Cherry Red that will without a doubt appeal for a greater segment of the market if you ask me, as the variety speaks diversity as far as the market is concerned.
