About a week ago we’ve got word about Sony readying a mini variant of the Sony Xperia Z1 aka Sony i1 Honami, which is refered to by Sony employees within the company as codename Sony Ray 3.
An alleged blurry photo showing the Sony Xperia Z1 mini (Honami Mini) alongside Blackberry Q10 (4.3 inch) has been posted on XDA forums confirming what I already reported last week — a 4.3 inch (1280×720) screen.
According to the source that shared this photo on XDA, Sony might launch Sony Xperia Z1 and Sony Xperia Z1 mini on September 4th at IFA 2013, in Berlin. This is backed-up by the teaser’s that Sony shared on Facebook and Twitter, the last few days.
You didn’t see this from me… but 4th of Sep is gonna be exciting! Thats all I’m saying!
Spec-wise Sony Xperia Z1 mini will also feature a Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage (microSD card slot included) and a 2,400 mAh battery.
It would be interesting to see a flagship and a mini smartphone from Sony competing with the likes of HTC One / HTC One Mini and Galaxy S4 / Galaxy S4 Mini.
