Alcatel have a smartphone niche in which they are known for producing price friendly devices which can still be relied on by the user for day-to-day activities. They have flooded the market with such entry-level devices and although they are not in the top leagues of smartphone makers, they have still managed to make a name for themselves. Their latest venture — Alcatel One Touch Scribe Pro aims to challenge the big boys in the arena.
Information on this particular smartphone was leaked via serial leaker Eldar Murtazin. According to information on the photo,we should be expecting a quad-core processor clocked at a hearty 1.5GHz, a 6-inch display, 13.1-megapixel camera and a huge 3,400 mAh battery too. And If that isn’t enough, there’s a stylus too (hello Galaxy Note fans) and an interesting flip cover which seem to have unique hidden LED lights.
In the follow-up tweet to that one, Murtazin continued to mention that the device will go on sale in Hong Kong for a pocket friendly price of $300, which according to current exchange rates, is about £190.With these specs, it will be interesting to see how it performs in the market, and at that price. It is expected that Alcatel will also unveil the device at IFA 2013 next month along with other smartphone makers such as Samsung and HTC.
