It has happened last year around this time, and it’s going to happen again: Amazon will unveil its new Kindle Fire line-up in the coming weeks. One thing that backs it up is the new Amazon Kindle Fire specs leak on GFXBench website.
The two tablets can be recognized by the names KFTHWI and KFAPWA and will likely succeed the Kindle Fire HD variants. They both feature killer hardware, including the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 800 processor with Adreno 330 GPU and high-resolution displays. The Amazon KFAPWA, which is the bigger model, packs a 2560×1600 pixels display, while the smaller KFTHWI touts a FullHD display unit. Both very acceptable in the high-end realm.
The duo runs on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean, probably highly-modified by Amazon to fit their needs. And as the specs promise, both slates offer top-end performance. Yet, we still don’t know how they look like, but they are probably very similar to the current Kindle Fire models. Price-wise, it’s still too early to even discuss this matter, as an official word hasn’t been spoken.
We hope Amazon puts a word or two on this Kindle Fire HD sequels soon.
