After weeks of leaks the Samsung W789 Hennessy is finally officially launched. The South Korean electronics giant launched this flip phone at an event in China ending the numerous speculations settling the dust that the classic model has caused in the web sphere. As we recently reported will come with two screens an external and an internal one each measuring 3.3 inches and with touch capabilities .And yes it’s running Android 4.1 and an impressive 5megapixel camera to match. If you are worried about the processor’s speed, worry no more as it comes equipped with an impressive 1.2 GHz quadcore processor and a 1200mAh battery to keep u powered. Samsung however hasn’t however specified how much internal memory the phone comes with, Additional features that the Samsung W789 Hennessy include a GPS positioning system, A-GPS, two sim slots, built-in online support services YouTube (upload and player),Picasa, a LED flash and the display comes with a 175 ppi.
The Samsung W789 Hennessy comes at a time that the market is filled with Phablets and more stylish big screened smartphones and without a doubt one may wonder why Samsung brought back the flip phone. But as any other product, the classic look mixed with the modern capabilities may just give the Samsung W789 Hennessy the push it needs as the market embraces both the admirable classic look intertwined with the modern features.
No official word has come from the Samsung Company on whether W789 Hennessy will be shipped to other parts of the world apart from just China and what the price-range will be, but what we are sure, is that the phone will fall in the mid-range category of phones going by its specs.
Samsung is still in the works with yet another flip-phone dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Folder as reviewed earlier and its more likely that the performance of the Samsung W789 Hennessy will without doubt reflect on the kind of marketing and market coverage that the Samsung SHV-E400K dubbed Samsung Galaxy Folder will be allocated.
