“A ‘non-final artwork’ promotional render of the HTC One Max has leaked online, showing what the final device could look like,” and which HTC immediately confirmed as fake. This “leak” happened at the same time as HTC revelation of a new brand marketing campaign starring Ironman or rather Robert Downey Jr. This will be rolled out from 15 August in key markets globally.
The render intimated that this is not the final artwork for the phone, thus we can expect a new and more accurate version. There are no details with regards to the inside, but it is similar to previous leaked pictures of the HTC One Max, with an alleged 5.9-inch display and a 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.
Robert Downey Jnr aka Ironman has been chosen to front this big “Change” advertising campaign for HTC and has committed to being involved with the “Change” marketing campaign for two of the three planned years.
Be on the lookout for the first advertisements where Ironman demonstrates what HTC stands for. “Hipster Troll Carwash”, “Hold This Cat” and “Humongous Tinfoil Catamaran” are said to be examples. Initially the advertisements will focus on building the HTC brand rather than the actual smartphones, which will be featured further along the advertising campaign.
HTC is looking for more acronyms so hop onto their Facebook page to see how you fare. HTC stands for High Tech Computer, pretty hard to beat this acronym, I’d say!
HTC is looking at different ways to revitalize their ailing brand, so let’s hope that Ironman “will do the job, yet again”! However, let’s trust that the actor’s fee does not become the undoing of this advertising campaign and that Ironman can jettison HTC into the ranks of Apple and Samsung.
Maybe this advertising campaign, along with the launch of the HTC One Max will do the trick for them! What do you think HTC has to #Change to get back on top?
