Nexus 7 and Nexus 4 spotted running build KRS36B on Chromium bug tracker, could be Android 5.0?

KLPIt wasn’t long since Android 4.3 was delivered, yet it seems that Google is already internally testing a future version of Android on the Nexus 4 & Nexus 7. It appears that an unknown Android build surfaced on Chromium’s bug tracker.

The build number is KRS36B, something that hasn’t been seen before as all previous flavors of Jelly Bean which all carried build numbers bearing ‘J’. This new build suggests that Google is indeed prepping the Android 5.0 KLP (Key Lime Pie) code on few devices.

Of course a simple build number doesn’t give us any clues about any potential new features that might make it to KLP; but it does indicate that Google has adopted a quick release cycle with each new future version being worked on just after the release of its predecessor. – Something that wasn’t quite the case years ago with Gingerbread and ICS, let’s see how Google manages to take Android to a whole new level!

That’s all for now, we’ll keep you updated as more comes in. Stay tuned!
