We’re all familiar with the Asphalt series of racing video games published by Gameloft and it isn’t surprising that their titles have found their place among the top grossing Apps in both the Play & App Store.
Asphalt 8: Airborne will follow the trails of its predecessor; packing whopping graphics backed by highly detailed textures (on select devices), multiplier capabilities without forgetting social integration as well as ‘freemium’ goodies. Gameloft has just released a new teaser, indicating that the game will be coming ‘very soon’.
The teaser speaks for itself, Asphalt essentially goes ‘airborne’. Players will be immersed in a new stunning gameplay experience featuring wild stuns while being able to collectively share their scores with friends. Gamers will certainly be enthralled by this ‘near console-grade’ graphics quality with OpenGL ES 3.0.
The new Asphalt 8 will be take in-game physics to the next level, it’s also worth noting that the latter will be specifically optimized to run on the new Nexus 7 and its amazing 1920 x 1200 display, we naturally also expect Tegra devices to be given the same treat.
Some of the features being baked into Asphalt 8 do sound really great. Here’s the short list:
- Brand new real physics engine
- 180 events, 47 licensed cars, new game modes
