Nanotech has just announced the pricing and availability for its 4K Media Player, Nuvola NP-1, and 4K Streaming Video service known as NanoFlix UltraHD, this is an industry first and will cost a user $299 making it the most affordable 4K player as far as the market is concerned and the pre-order is already on as its doors opened as from 15th of July earlier this week.Nanotech’s Nuvola NP-1 is a set-top box that supports streaming video up to 3840×2160 resolution, known more commonly as 4K video resolution. The firm said that the device will have a quad-core Tegra 4 chip with 72 GPU cores, 2GB of DDR3 RAM,NVIDIA processor,Cortex-A15 CPU, and 16GB of flash storage, and will run Google’s Android 4.2 Jelly Bean mobile operating system.

The streaming media player allows its users to connect via Ethernet or Wi-Fi to a network supporting 6Mbit/s or greater allowing you to stream 4K UltraHD movies and videos from a variety of sources including the bundled NanoFlix UHD channel.According to Glenn Schuster, director of technical marketing for the Mobile business at NVIDIA Tegra 4 has optimized video capabilities,an enormous processing power coupled up with realistic graphics to set top boxes.

Consumers will be able to order the Nuvola and other NanoTech consumer products from Amazon later this month and to those of us who are so addicted to our favorite apps supported by Android, the small media player is capable of Netflix, Hulu Plus, YouTube, Pandora, XBMC, Skype, and Angry birds which all come pre-loaded with an optional remote control with a built-in keyboard (on-screen) and a wireless game controller if you need one for the game lovers.You can as well remotely attach a variety of Bluetooth enabled console game controllers and access the large variety of games from the resourceful Google Play (from thousands of compatible apps ) and NVIDIA TegraZone.
