The last couple of weeks we have been hearing rumors about Motorola’s new range of smartphones called Droid Ultra, which is likely to include a Droid Ultra M, Droid Ultra RAZR, Droid Ultra Maxx and maybe a mini version or some sort.
Today, thanks to the ever-present in the mobile world @evleaks (Evan Blass) we can take a quick look at Motorola Droid Maxx for Verizon Wireless. If you’re wondering why not Droid Ultra Maxx, well we don’t know, our guess is as good as yours. From the render above we can distinguish a few things: first off button layout on the right side there are 3 buttons whereas on the old Droid RAZR Maxx there are only two buttons. The screen looks larger, maybe a 4.8 or a 5 inch display, and the capacitive buttons at the bottom look like they are on the screen or at least I want to think that they are, because I wouldn’t appreciate Motorola launching a new Droid with physical navigational keys. Do you? appareance
The rumor has it that the coating is still made out of Kevlar and maybe the new range of phones are more dust and water proof material, like the Xperia Z for instance. I’d like to see that feature included.
There is also a date of release pointing to July 11th, but we are not sure whether the rumor refers to Moto X or all of these new devices. The last time Motorola announced something they came out with a bundle of three new phones if I remember correctly.
Any thoughts on this new Droid Maxx for Verizon?
