Do you still have one of those Motorola Xyboard tablets around the house? Well than you better get it out and shake that dust off of it because Verizon Wireless is rolling out Android 4.1 (JellyBean) as we speak.
After what seems to have been an eternity for Motorola XyBoard owners, they finally will receive Jelly Bean upgrade. Wait don’t get to excited yet,only carrier specific Xyboards (read Verizon) will receive the update! Leaving the WiFi Xyboards stuck on Android Ice Cream Sandwich. No one knows why this was done, but then again these are the first stages of the rolling out of the update, so who knows,maybe there will be a future update for the other WiFi Xyboard tablets.
Both the 8.2 inch and the 10,1 inch Motorola Droid Xyboard tablets will be receiving the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update.OEMs have been slow in updating their devices,the trend basically has been,if you don’t have a nexus device,you will have to wait. So luckily,owners of the Xoom 2 (and Xoom 2 Media Edition) will get to use and enjoy Jelly Bean 4.2,which has brought joy to many android users all over the planet.
