Yesterday, HTC UK announced that they would launch the HTC One in a special “Glamour Red” colour. The announcement, made via HTC UK’s Twitter feed, sparked a mixture of excitement but also disappointment and anger that the tease wasn’t something more significant, such as an update to 4.2.2 or HTC One +.
Mobile shop Phones4U managed to get the exclusive deal to sell the Red HTC One from mid-July, dependant on stock. The red variant is currently showing up in their pre-order page, with contracts starting at £33/month ($50.32/€33.54) to get the phone for free, or slightly less a month with a fee to buy the phone. There is no indication as to what it would cost SIM free, but going on the price given for the current black and silver version, expect to pay approximately £489.95 ($ 714.15/€ 572.22).
Inside, the Red HTC One hasn’t changed. It still has a Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor running at 1.7Ghz with 2GB RAM, Android Jelly Bean 4.1 and an UltraPixel camera.
