The Galaxy S4 (I9500/I9505) is already selling like hot cakes, being a worldwide success. – Yet that doesn’t stop the South Korean giant from further introducing devices carrying the Galaxy S4 moniker. – We’ve already encountered the Galaxy S4 Active and S4 Zoom, not to mention the U.S carrier LTE S4 variants.
Samsung is however planning to introduce an LTE-Advanced model of the popular flagship. All reports suggest that the Snapdragon 800-powered Galaxy S4 LTE-A handset bearing the SHV-E330 codename will hit South Korean shelves in a couple of months, but we didn’t come across any shots of the actual behemoth aside from a leaked manual. A leakster luckily managed to get his hands on the Arctic Blue and Aurora Red versions of the handset! See for yourself:
The Galaxy S4 LTE-A sports the same S4 ‘Design Dress’, it however features a ‘LTE-A’ logo on the back. The depicted handset is shown running a carrier-branded SK Telecom firmware. As of now there is no indication whether Samsung would consider an international version or carrier-locked specific models. We naturally expect more details in the coming days. Stay tune!
LTE-Advanced offers data transmission at up to twice the normal 4G speed. Theoretically LTE Advanced shall allow data download speeds up to 1Gbps (30 bits per Hz) and 500Mbps uploads (16 bits per Hz).
