The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 series has gone official for quite time but we knew little about the availability of the models aside from the usual rumors. It happens that Samsung just revealed the entire lineup details including the prices in the United States.
The series will include 7 and 8-inches variants as well as a beefier 10.1 inch model. All sport the same design dress and are armed with relatively the same set of features; notably a universal TV remote control and the usual unified Samsung software (TouchWiz UX) and ‘S-Apps’.
The new lineup shall hit U.S shelves in two week’s time, it should also be noted that the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 is Samsung’s first device featuring an Intel Z2560 SoC, the giant will be priced at $399. It features a rather standard panel pakcing 1280 x 800 pixels, 16GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM and a 6,800 mAh battery. Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean will run the show.
The slightly less powerful Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 will be powered by Samsung’s own silicon; the Exynos 4212 SoC. Under the hood you’ll find 16GB, 1.5GB of RAM and 4,450 mAh battery powering a 8-inch 1280 x 800 display. – All packed for $299.
The smallest tablet in the family is the Android 4.2.2 -powered Galaxy Tab 3 7.0. It’s includes a 1.2GHz dual-core PXA 986 Marvell SoC, it sports a mediocre 1024 x 600 display, 8GB of storage and 1GB of RAM, the latter comes preloaded with Android 4.1.2 but we except an update soon. The introductory price will be set at $199.
