Samsung may be busy prepping their latest upcoming devices including the Galaxy Note 3 but faithful users shall nevertheless still enjoy some new firmware releases. The 3G variant of the Galaxy Note 8.0 just received another update in Germany.
The new build bearing the N5100XXBMF1 moniker doesn’t bring much to the table aside from general bug fixes and stability & performance improvements. A visual change was the addition of transparency to the notifications bar.
The update is quite heavy judging from the stunning 174MB weight. We have no actual changelog but we’re pretty sure that Samsung bundled a lot of updated ‘S-Apps’ along with possible software enhancements to their TouchWiz framework amongst other things. The firmware was compiled on June 4 but still bears the Jelly Bean 4.1.2 build.
The update is already rolling out OTA as well as via Samsung KIES. German users should soon see an update notifications in the coming days.
