Looks like today is Sony Xperia ZU also known as Xperia Z Ultra day. Earlier today we’ve seen the first clear image which showed us the giant 6.44 inch phablet and now we are treated with the whole shabang – Sony Xperia ZU specs sheet.
Folks at ePrice got in possesion of some interesting photos which shows the phablet and its stylus at work, as well as the specifications. According to their source Sony Xperia ZU will indeed be equipped with a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB on-board memory (up to 64 via microSD slot), a 6.4 inch Full HD Triluminos (342 ppi) display with X-Reality Mobile. An OptiContrast ExmoR sensor on the 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP camera up front, NFC, MHL, HD Voice (xLOUD, ClearAudio+) and a 3,000 mAh battery. The Xperia Z Ultra is IP55 / IP58 certified, which means the phablet is water and dust resistant.
On the software side, the Xperia ZU phablet comes with a couple of pre-installed and optimized apps for the stylus called: Notes and Sketch (see photo below).
The Xperia Z Ultra is schedule for July 4th unveil, according to a series of press invites sent out by Sony Mobile for an event that will take place in Paris, France.
