Samsung’s 2011 smartphone of the year – Galaxy S II is finally getting its treat of JellyBean on Vodafone Australia. The update bring Android 4.1.2 to owners of such devices, but in phases. Some of the first lucky one’s already received a notification for upgrade, others will have to wait a little bit longer as the software update “rolls out for the next two weeks, until it reaches everyone’s phone.”
As with all Samsung updates it is released in batches, so don’t worry if you haven’t received an update notification yet.
If you receive a message stating “Access to the software update service is provided to users in the order in which they request it”, that means all the upgrade slots for that day have been exhausted.
Keep an eye on the notification bar for OTA (over the air) software update messages.
