Electronics maker LG has been quite the quiet elephant in the room, partly due to Samsung, HTC having been in the spotlight for the last few weeks, with their flagship devices.LG had caused a bit of a stir with its LG Optimus G Pro (share the genius) a month back,but that has died down now.
Enter the two mid-range market contenders, the LG Optimus L4 II and L4 II Dual. Information from Hi-tech Mail blog informed us that these two smartphones will be announced in a few weeks time. The credit goes to Hi-tech Mail on their so far, legit information. They had previously leaked information pertaining to the Samsung Galaxy Zoom, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 and the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3.
Both the LG smartphones run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean,with a customized LG skin on top. (Think Touchwiz, Emotion UI, Sense). Both phones are almost similar specs wise but have different designs. Under the hood lies a MediaTek MT6575 platform with a 1GHz single core Cortex A9 processor.
For handling the graphics and visual interface on their 3.8 inch True IPS HVGA display,they use a PowerVR SGX 531 GPU. All of this coupled with 512MB of RAM. Internal memory is set at 4 GB (Expandable via MicroSD).To top it all off,a 3 MP camera with a LED flash and a 1700 mAh battery to keep things running.
The two also have Wi-Fi,bluetooth 3.0 and 3G with HSPA support. They are expected to be launched by the end of June,with the L4 going for €135 and the dual sim L4 version going for €145.
