Samsung Electronics is set to release a bunch of Galaxy S4 flagship variants this year, and one of them is the Galaxy S4 Active, a water/dust resistant device which we’ve already seen about 10 days ago in a few real-life shots and in a hands-on video. There will be an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 Active version as well, the above image shows exactly this model.
Evleaks is the source of this press image, which also reveals the date of release of the device, as seen on the home screen – Friday, June 21. So, the AT&T version launches a day after Samsung Premiere 2013 Galaxy & Ativ event in London and it will arrive in Dark Grey and Teal colours. The model number of the S4 Active is Samsung SGH-I537 and along with it a few other devices will join AT&T line-up: SM-G730A “Golden” (Galaxy S III mini), SGH-I527 “Melius” (Galaxy Mega 6.3), SGH-I257 “Serrano” (Galaxy S 4 mini), and SGH-I217 “Zest.”
According to the specs sheet leaked on May 29th, the Galaxy S4 Active packs a 5 inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, 8MP rear camera and under the hood a Snapdragon 600 CPU clocked at 1.9Ghz with an Adreno 320 GPU.
We do not hold information regarding AT&T S4 Active price tag, however it should cost around $199 on a two-year contract.
