Recently, the third-biggest South Korean mobile maker – Pantech has released its latest 5 inch flagship smartphone based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 processor, called Pantech Vega Iron IM-A870. But that’s not all that’s coming from this manufacturer in 2013, according to a new AnTuTu benchmark score, there is a Pantech IM-A880 out there, which is even more powerful, and it is based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 chipset. The first batch of smart devices carrying the new Snapdragon 800 SoC will be exhibited during IFA 2013, in Berlin and likely released somewhere in September or later.
The AnTuTu benchmark results of the IM-A880 is really impressive, scoring a little over 30,000 points this device has a processor clocked at 2.1GHz and it runs Android 4.2 Jellybean. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 chipset, using Krait 400 architecture, supports up to 2.3GHz clocking by default, and it can play 4K video content @30 fps, record videos at 2560 x 2048 resolution, support 7.1 channel DTS -HD sound and 4G LTE Cat 4 with Wi-Fi 802.11ac network.
Pantech IM0A880 likely to join at least two major carriers in Korea: SK Telecom and KT, as the model number IM-A880S and IM-A880K implies it in the AnTuTu scores.
