Galaxy Music gets the Jelly Bean 4.1.2 treatment

Galaxy Music JB

The Galaxy Music (GT-S6010), one of the most affordable low end Android handset aimed at multimedia users is now ready to taste the first flavor of Android Jelly Bean. The smartphone was originally launched with Ice Cream onboard and having such an update is a feat for such a smartphone given its mediocre specifications.

Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 update comes just 7 months after the smartphone’s release which is quite late. Users in the United Kingdom shall nevertheless be able to update their phones with the new recently released S6010XXUBME1 firmware.

The upgrade is also scheduled to be released worldwide in a matter of days if not weeks. As usual new features include updated Samsung Apps, Google Now, Project Butter along with better performance & improved battery life.

The phone should feel snappier in general, especially in the user interface which exhibited some signs of ‘lag’ with ICS. The update is already available on KIES as well as OTA.
