Android 4.3, the third and possibly last flavor bearing the Android Jelly Bean moniker is just around the corner, judging from the whole load of rumors, leaks and finally a few shots!
The shots leaked today reportedly revealed Android 4.3 (build JWR45B) running on a Nexus 4 at Thailand Mobile Expo 2013, that obviously sparked a lot of controversy on XDA due to the fact that the baseband number was intentionally obscured. – But the fact a redesigned camera interface was spotted gives those pictures some degree of credibility. The Jelly Bean 4.3 Easter Egg further confirms the identity of that version, if not faked of course.
This Android build could just be an incremental minor update to the Jelly Bean judging from the kernel version which is still 3.4 as in Jelly Bean 4.2.2. But that doesn’t rule the possibility that additional features would be bundled, deeper Chrome & Maps integration were previous hinted by various rumors but we’ll have to wait a little more to get a definite answer.
It’s however safe to assume that most if not all of the user interface will remain rather unchanged, we could see some minor tweaks here and there but nothing points to a major overhaul. The shots are pictured below but we haven’t yet been able to confirm their legitimacy.
Android 4.3 will supposedly be unveiled on June 10th but nothing was officially confirmed so far.
So what’s your take on that? Genuine or faked? Judge for yourself & share us your views in the comment section below!
Update: We’ve added a video which demos Nexus 4 camera features on Android 4.3 JellyBean.
