Lenovo launched earlier this morning in China, the IdeaPhone K900 a flagship phablet made of aluminium alloy and it looks like the Chinese manufacturer is going to launch a second large-screen Android device this summer, as we see LA Lakers basketball superstar Kobe Bryant promoting Lenovo P780 5 inch smartphone in a new behind the scenes TV ad.
Mr. Bryant is the official image of Lenovo smartphone series. He also introduced the IdeaPhone K900 phablet earlier this year.
According to sources the Lenovo P780 packs a 720p HD display and an expectedly large battery capacity – 4,000 mAh if we consider 4.5 inch P770’s 3,500 mAh battery. The P780 is not as thin as its bigger brother, the K900 – 6.9mm, but it measures 9.9 mm thickness and it is powered by a quad-core MediaTek chipset and it also has dual-SIM support.
Lenovo P780 seems that it will hit the shelves in China in the second half of 2013 for an undisclosed price.
