Samsung has officially launched the Samsung Galaxy S4 in Korea a few hours ago at Samsung Galaxy S4 World Tour, Seoul. The smartphone in Korea will feature the Exynos 5 Octa chipset, along with LTE connectivity.
The Exnynos-packing Galaxy S4 variant is expected to be even more powerful than the one with the Snapdragon 600 CPU, even at lower frequency (1,6GHz vs. 1,9GHz). That said, the power consumption should be also minimized, thanks to the more power-efficient Cortex-A15 architecture and Cortex-A7 low-powered cores that are activated when the smartphone runs non-CPU-intensive processes.
The pricing details are yet to be revealed. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s official launch event which we will cover.
