The Galaxy series will see a new member shortly. A Vietnamese retailer, Mainguyen has alleged shots and specifications of the dual-sim Galaxy Win, that smartphone is apparently to complement the midrange segment given its rather ‘standard’ specifications.
The handset is based on the new Galaxy design dress, i.e rounded corners with a ‘pebble-alike’ body. The Galaxy Win will rock a quad-core Snapdragon 200 or S4 SoC ticking at 1.2GHz with the Adreno 203 GPU. The device is said to feature a 480 x 800 sAMOLED display & a 5MP shooter while 2000mAh battery will power the whole thing while memory expansion is ensured thanks to the MicroSD card slot. The device will support all standard connectivity features, that includes 21Mbps HSDPA, Dual-SIM, Wi-Fi & Bluetooth 3.0.
The Galaxy Win will likely be targeted at developing markets like it was the case of the SII Plus & SIII Mini. The handset will obviously not deliver the same level of performance as any high end device but that’s what you’ll be getting for such a bang-for-buck gadget.
The Chinese certification authority Tenaa has approved the device so we can only expect an official announcement from Samsung in days if not weeks.
