Samsung annouces Orange Galaxy Pop in South Korea

Samsung has been releasing a whole bunch of colored smartphones variants in their home country and the new Galaxy Pop is no different to that rule.

A orange smartphone, that may surely be hideous for most people but Koreans have a different color taste, we’ve seen plenty of such bright colored smartphone from Samsung in the past and the cycle won’t simply stop, this is simply ‘fashion’ for Samsung.

For the record the ‘new’ Galaxy Pop (not to be confused with the older i559) packs the Exynos 4412 quad core chip ticking at 1.4GHz, 1GB of ram & a 8MP front shooter accompanied by a 2MP front-facing camera all powered by a 2,100mAh battery. The specifications places it at the Galaxy SIII level.

It comes in 8/16GB variants (expandable to 64GB) and sports Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box.  You’ll also get a flip cover for a total price of 700,000 Won ($642 USD), the device won’t likely land in the states any time soon but more details will be revealed in a matter of weeks.
