Sony has attracted many people to its booth these days at MWC, but everything has its reasons. One reason is that Sony has quite interesting gadgets over at the Sony booth, and one of them is the now-announced Sony Xperia Tablet Z.
We expected this device to be featured at MWC this year, as we had numerous leaks of the tablet this month. It’s a beautiful device by any means, with a quite distinctive design that has the Xperia Z feel to it. Much like its smartphone counterpart, the Xperia Tablet Z has IP55 & IP57 certifications, which means it’s dustproof and waterproof.
The specifications too are nothing short of amazing. You get a 10,1-inch FullHD Reality displaywith Mobile Bravia engine 2, 1,5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB RAM, 16/32GB storage and microSD card slot for storage expansion, 8MP rear-facing camera and 2MP front-facing one. The usual set of connectivity features is also present here, excluding mobile data, but there will be a version of the tablet with that feature included.
The Sony Xperia Tablet S will be available this spring both in Sony Stores and authorized retailers for $499 and $599 for the 16GB and 32GB versions respectively. Here’s the official promo video of the tablet:
