It’s no secret that LG is preparing successors of the LG Optimus L family for the Mobile World Congress, that is only a countable number of days ahead, and yet we see leaks of their specs and images. The new members of the dynasty are LG Optimus L3 II, Optimus L5 II and L7 II, which not surprisingly, come as upgrades to their ancestors.
Let’s start with the smallest of them all, the L3 II. It sports the same screen the original L3, tipping at 3,2 inches. The resolution is rather disappointing though, as it’s the same poor QVGA as can be found on its predecessor. The processor is upgraded to 1GHz, as well as the camera, going from 3,2MP to 5MP.
The LG Optimus L5 II comes with its own improvements as well. The processor, to begin with, is upgraded to 1GHz form 800MHz, but that’s not the only advantage in the CPU department. The Optimus L5 II uses a Cortex A9 chip, and PowerVR SGX531 GPU. The display grows to 4 inches, and the resolution is upgraded to WVGA. It runs on Android 4.1.2 Jellybean, skinned with LG‘s latest theme.
Finally, the Optumus L7 II packs a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225 processor, running at 1GHz. The GPU found inside is Adreno 203, while the RAM capacity is 768MB. It has a 4,3-inch screen of WVGA resolution, a 2460mAh battery and Android 4.1.2 Jellybean.
We still have no official word on this trio, nor we know for sure if they will be showed at MWC, but that’s a very reasonable option if you ask us. It’s yet to be seen if the new Optimus L trio will overtake the previous members of the league by success and popularity.
