By now you all know about the Sony Xperia Z, Sony’s latest flagship refreshment. It’s a great smartphone and all, but one thing is missing here, and that is – its tablet counterpart. But then, a question may emerge: why should we expect a tablet to coexist with the latest flagship? Because, if you remember closely, along with the Xperia T, Sony’s former top-dog, the Japanese OEM announced a flagship tablet. The Xperia Tablet S, that is. It’s pretty logical to expect a new tablet from Sony, right? We even have some evidences that support this theory.
Information about the potential Sony Xperia Tablet Z has leaked on Twitter, on Xperia Info‘s profile to be precise. The tablet shares much-less the same specs with its smaller brother, the Xperia Z. That includes the same 1,5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage, an upsized FullHD display (10,1 inch), 8MP back-facing camera and a 2MP front-facer, 6000mAh battery, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, LTE, and a NFC chip. It has a slim profile of 6,9mm, which makes it one of the slimmest tablets around. It runs on Andorid 4.1.2 Jellybean, much like its smartphone counterpart.
As always, take this with a pinch of salt, as we still haven’t heard anything from Sony. We will keep you informed on the Xperia Tablet Z.
