NVIDIA announced the Tegra 4 SoC based on ARM Cortex A15:

Acer announced Iconia B1-A71 tablet:

Acer has made the Iconia B1-A71 tabletofficial, including specs, and something on pricing and release date. The B1-A71 has a 7 inch 1024 x 600 resolution screen, with a 1.2Ghz Dual-Core MediaTek processor, 512Mb RAM, 8Gb internal memory and a SD card slot with up to 32Gb support, 0.3 MP front cam, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 , GPS, internal speaker, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a 2710 mAh Battery. Alcatel showed off its new 2013 smartphone line-up at CES:

Alcatel has outed its new smartphones for 2013 here, at CES 2013. The one to begin with is the AlcatelOneTouch Idol Ultra, which is the new world’s slimmest smartphone, peaking at 6,45mm. Huawei presented its new flagship, the Huawei Ascend D2:

Huawei is one of the new comers in the 5 inch mobile segment this year and they are doing it big launching today at CES2013 a Full HD Androiddevice with a quad-core 1.5GHz K3V2 processor, 2GB ofRAM which they claim is the world’s fastest smartphone and a sleek metal frame. Boasts a capable battery

Sony unveiled the Xperia Z and Xperia ZL:

Qualcomm announced the next generation of Snapdragon processors:

We’re seeing an explosion of Qualcomm-power chips, from the Nexus 4 to the Xperia T,V and Z all the way down to the Nokia Lumias but things are once again going to change, set for innovation Qualcomm announced that it’ll be introducing new chips bearing the same brand name.

The Snapdragon 600 SoC utilizes four Krait 300 cores which runs at 1.9GHz with the same Adreno 320 GPu that was found in last year’s S4 Pro Chips but natively support LPDDR3 RAM & is around 40% better performance than the Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. Snapdragon 800 is the real deal

Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus had finally seen daylight:

Samsung Electronics announces the upgradeversion of the GALAXY S2 GT-I9100, GALAXY S II Plus GT-I9105 which is slightly heavier (121 grams), and it comes with a different storage option: instead of being sold with a 16/32 GB built-in storage and the option to expand via a microSD card up to 32GB, the S2 Pluscomes with 8GB internal storage by default expandable for up to 64GB through a micro SD card. It has the same 4.2 WVGA (480×800) Super AMOLED Plus display, the NFC is still optional, the same MP camera, same 1.2GHz dual-core procesorr (probably the same Mali-400 GPU too although it isnt mentioned anywhere by Samsung) and the same 1650 mAh battery. Runs on Jellybean with Nature UX

LG updated the Optimus G to Android 4.1 in Korea:

Launched last year with lots of bells and whistles the LG Optimus G currently the top dog on LG Mobileline-up is reportedly receiving Android 4.1 Jellybean software update in South Korea via SKT. The upgrade to JellyBean has been announced in mid-October, last year, where LG Optimus G was scheduled for December upgrade however it was delayed until a couple of weeks (winter holidays).
