The Asus PadFone 2 is a quite interesting device. It’s a phone-tablet hybrid (not a phablet) that can transform into a 10-inch tablet form a 4,7-inch smartphone. It’s been available for quite some time now, but it has just managed to see daylight in Japan.
The Asus PadFone 2 can be in everyone’s hands in Japan starting tomorrow, for 79800 Japanese yen, which translates to €690, or $905, which is quite steep, but hey, you do get a full-fledged smartphone and a tablet for the money.
If you need a refreshment on the specs of the PadFone 2, it featres a 1,5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset, 2GB RAM, 64GB storage, 4,7-inch HD display plus 10,1-inch 1280x800p docking station, 13MP rear-facing camera plus 1,2MP videocall one, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-FI, 3G, etc. It runs on Android 4.1.1 Jellybean, later to be updated to 4.2.
