The recently disclosed Kernel flaw that affected a number of Exynos devices may not have been exploited in the wild but Samsung is already providing a fix for the flaw, the new I9300XXELLA firmware with the new kernel (built on 22 December) addresses that specific issue as well as the sudden ‘death bug’.

The firmware also features an updated bootloader, the first of its kind for the Galaxy SIII, the previous bootloader along with the flawed kernel allowed any app to access to Physical Memory & Root Access, if not fixed that would lead to massive attacks against affected devices but we have yet to see any other updates for other devices based around the Exynos platform.
