Alcatel has announced two new phones in The Netherlands, the OT 993D and the OT977D. Both devices are Dual SIM, as the ‘D’ in the name says. A dual SIM device can handle two SIM cards, so you can use the phone with two separate phonenumbers. The device shows on what number a call comes in, and you can ofcourse choose what number you call from. It’s a perfect solution for private and business use.
The OT993D is the smallest, with a 4.0 inch 480×800 display and a Qualcomm MSM 7227A Dual Core 1GHz processor. It comes with 4GB internal storage (3GB free for end user) and 512MB RAM. External Micro SD storage can be used up to 32GB.
The OT997D comes with a 4.3 inch 480×800 display and a MT6577 Dual Core 1GHz processor. The internal storage is only 1GB, RAM is 512MB and you can insert a Micro SD up to 32GB.
These aren’t really power phones. But they provide in the need for affordable Android .0 ICS devices, especially when it’s almost stock Android. Strong selling point is the price: the OT993D has a €169,99 price tag, the OT997D will be yours for €199,99 from December 2012.
