Just the other day one of Sony Mobile employees who’s running @SonyMobileNews Twitter account mentioned mid-December date for Jelly Bean upgrade and full schedule with timing for all the devices due for upgrade. In the meantime owners of Xperia P, Xperia U, Xperia go and Xperia sola smartphones will be getting as of today a new software update, but it’s not JB. However it fixes things that some of you folk complained about to Sony.
The Ice Cream Sandwich firmware includes improvements to: stability, WiFi, tethering/portable hotspot, camera (capture and playback), NFC and Messaging.
The upgrades are available OTA (over the air) if you are already on ICS OS, if not then plug-in your phone into the USB cable connect it to PC Companion or Bridge for Mac. Please note that the upgrades spread in waves according to each market and local carriers approval.
