Flipboard For Android Gets New Update


Flipboard is currently one of the hottest news reading apps on the Google Play Store. With its innovative user interface and seamless performance, it just crushes the competition. However, the development hasn’t stopped a minute and the never-satisfied developers are always here to bring us an update, be it a minor one or a major one. Speaking of updates, Flipboard has just received it latest one, and while it updates the app version to 1.9.9, it brings a handful of improvements and fixes:

  • Control audio playback with hardware buttons. People with Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) and up can also control audio playback from the lock screen.
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements, including speeding up the app launch and improving efficiency of the audio service.

It may not seem much, but it’s a result of a continuous hard work by the developers, that bring us many new goodies with each update.
