Breaking: Huawei Ascend D2 unveiled in a conference PowerPoint slide in Beijing

Huawei ment business late last year when they said that they will be focusing onto launching mid to high-end device in 2012. The Chinese vendor already announced Ascend P series, its first quad-core phone dubbed Ascend D quad. and only 10 days ago we have heard about an upcoming 2013 device sporting a huge 6.1 display.

As if this was not enough, an unreleased smartphone called Ascend D2 made its appearance in a slide (see photo above) at a conference in Beijing. The slide also reveals some key specs like the quad core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, a 5 inch display, 13MP rear-facing camera, 1.3MP in front, 3000 mAh battery and Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OS.

There is also a second photo (see below) that shows Ascend D2 ultra-narrow bezel (kinda like RAZR M edge-to-edge display) in the hands of a woman at the same conference. Both images were shared on Weibo Chinese blogging network.

This device is scheduled for next year official unveil and release probably in the second quarter of 2013.
