Sony (or should I say, Sony Ericsson) has always been catching up with other companies, until its ways with Ericsson were separated. Then Sony finally managed to catch up with the other big companies like HTC and Samsung with devices such as the Xperia S and Xperia T, which made the NXT series good as it really is. There’s been some time since the last smartphone, the Xperia T joined the NXT lineup, and yet there’s a new one that’s going to find its way into the lineup and Chinese shelves, and that’s the Xperia E Dual C1605.
The Sony Xperia E Dual C1605 leaked today on Indonesian e-Postel certification website, saying it’s headed to China and has just received certificates for approval. This is the first time we hear about this device, and as the name suggests, it’s probably a dual-SIM smartphone, considering that dual-SIM devices are highly-popular among the Chinese customers. It’s probably a low-end device, as some benchmarks suggest, featuring a 1GHz processor with Adreno 200 GPU and a HVGA screen, and will feature Android ICS on launch. It’s expected to be very affordable and should arrive in late 2012-early 2013.
We are eager to hear more about this particular device, and we will keep you informed on this story as soon as we get more info.
