Purported images and details of an unreleased 5 inch HTC 6435LVW has been leaked online every once in a while for the last couple of months. HTC Japan unveil today what everyone has expected to see – HTC J Butterfly, a followup of the 4.3 inch HTC J (One S) smartphone with top-notch specs, thin bezel, Android 4.1 on-board and HTC Sense 4+ UI part of KDDI 2012 Winter Collection.
Weighing in at 140 grams HTC J Butterfly is 9.1 mm thin, features a Full HD SLCD 3 display (first of its kind), comes equipped with Qualcomm’s MDM9615 + APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage expandable for up to 32GB via a microSD card slot (finally HTC listens to its customers adding the SD card slot that is missing on ONE series).
In addition this “Incredible Hulk” features 1920x1080p screen resolution at 440 ppi, 8MP camera on the rear with Full HD recording , 2MP in front, NFC, LTE, Bluetooth, a 2020 mAh battery and it has IPX5 (dust / water proof) certification.
No word on its pricing yet, what we know is that it will be available soon (early December) in Japan via KDDi operator in three different colors: Red, White and Black, other markets will follow shortly after.
