Samsung released its Galaxy S III in two colours – Pebble Blue and White. Not launching a black colour model when most people these days prefer black, was indeed a brave decision. Since then, Verizon took this initiative and last Monday, they announced that the Samsung Galaxy S III will be “available soon” in the sapphire black and amber brown colours but there was no particular date announced. It wasn’t a very long wait as now the phone is available in both the colours from the big communication giant, Verizon.
It will be available online on Verizon’s site. However, the site has listed the phone with amber brown colour in the “online exclusive” category so we don’t know whether or when it will be available in stores. They are available for a price tag of $199.99 where people will have to commit to the Big Reds for a period of 2 years.
Furthermore, only the 6GBcapacity model is offered in these 2 additional colours. It will have the same specs. That means that you can expect a 4.8-inch and 1280×720 HD Super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear and 1.9-megapixel front cameras, 4G LTE connectivity and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
If you are not too choosy about the new colours, then you can go for the 2 original colours – Pebble Blue or Marble White and buy them from the nearest BestBuy store as they are offering $100 off on the Galaxy S III, making it $99.99 for the 16GB model and $199.99 for the 32GB model.
So which colour would you prefer ?
