The ARMv6 CPU architecture is by today’s standards already ancient. The performance is poor and hardly any elite developers even consider trying to produce apps and games for it. Mozilla, however, looks at this things in a very different perspective. Reportedly, their popular mobile web browser, Mozilla Firefox, has reached the stage when it’s compatible with some of the oldies who are powered by ARMv6 based chipsets.
It’s still in beta stage, though, so it’s logical to expect bugs, glitches and performance problems here and there. But, Mozilla are known for their hard work and taking that into perspective, we can confidently say that it will reach the release stage even sooner than you think.
