It’s now official, guys! AT&T officially announces the Sony Xperia TL, the next Sony flagship and a heavyweight contender in the LTE category. It will come exclusively to AT&T, boasting 4G LTE and NFC connectivity.
Judging by appearance, the Xperia TL is a beautiful piece of work. The design is inspired by the already retired Xperia Arc, but this time cleaner and more appealing. There are no hardware buttons in the front, but a big 4.6 inch screen of HD resolution instead. On the back, on the other hand, there’s the 13 megapixels camera, which promises great image quality, fast image capture and 1080p video recording.
On the inside, there’s the familiar Snapdragon S4 processor, with two Krait cores clocked at 1.5 GHz. There’s also LTE and NFC connectivity, as mentioned above. MHL connectivity is also present here.
The Xperia TL runs on Android 4.0.4 out of the box, with Sony’s custom UI and redesigned apps which make the familiar experience more unique. The device is supposed to get Jellybean right after launch, though.
The pricing is still unknown, but it should match the prices of the current flagships in this segment.
