The third biggest OEM in South Korea has announced its latest flagship device the LTE Vega R3 (Vega Racer 3) a smartphone powered by the new quad-core Qualcomm S4 Pro APQ8064 chipset clocked at 1.5GHz and with an extra-large 5.3 inch IPS Pro HD (1280 × 720 pixels) display. I guess everything has to be extremely big nowadays.
Pantech Vega R3 sports both 4G/3G, comes with 2GB of RAM, weighs in at 169 grams and is 9.95 mm thick. The device has 16GB of built-in memory storage expandable for up to an impressive and never before heard 2TB external storage, according to Pantech. Vega R3 also has dual cameras, a 13MP camera on the back and a 2MP in front and a 2600 mAh battery.
In addition Vega R3 runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system which likely will be upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
This beasty handheld will be available in the country starting tomorrow September 25th from all three major carriers SKT (model number IM-A850S); KT (model number IM-A850K) and LG U + (model number IM-A850L) for a unknown price.
