When Amazon announced it’s pair of Kindle Fire HD tablets, both became highly commended. All rumors came up, asking it being better the Google’s Nexus 7. Soon after it’s release, it became clear that Fire HD bootloader is locked, but getting root must be possible. Then it’s just a matter of time, and the word *rooted* will come up.
This happened a few days ago with the use of an old root exploit. RootzWiki mentions “Amazon failed to fix the bug sparkym3 found in ICS”.
