LG is hard at work when it comes to mobile displays. The latest technology innovation from LG Mobile is the flagship Optimus G smartphone which will launch by the end of September, according to Richard Bang VP at LG Display IT/Mobile Product Planning Division.
Mounted with LG Display’s next-generation True HD IPS Plus for the first time, LG’s ultimate-performance LTE smartphone – LG Optimus G has a 27% thinner screen display which apparently is also stronger in withstand external damage from impact (concrete, floors, coins, keys, etc). The new technology implemented onto Optimus G screen makes the display up to 70% more power efficient than an AMOLED display, so they claim.
Sounds like a ‘must see happening,’ because if they really made the True HD IPS display offer 1.6 times clearer and sharper images than the AMOLED display, adding to that list its power consumption efficiency, we’ll get a device whose battery will no doubt last longer than any other on the market today.
